Under the Twilight Sky: An Interview With the Vampire Pre-party

Goth and new-wave music set the tone for a Miami Book Fair pre-party marking the 50th anniversary of Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire. “Under the Twilight Sky” takes place Sunday, November 22 at the Off the Shelf Stage at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. The lineup features DJ sets by Ray Milian and Carlos Menendez, alongside a live performance by Ordinary Boys. A founder of Off the Radar and Poplife, Milian has spent more than 25 years in Miami’s underground music scene, with residencies at venues including Electric Pickle, Bardot and The Vagabond. Formed in Miami in 2010, Ordinary Boys performs the music of The Smiths and Morrissey. The group began with a one-off appearance at Churchill’s Pub and developed a repertoire of faithful renditions, including “This Charming Man” and “How Soon Is Now?” The pre-party runs from 4–5 p.m., ahead of the fair’s anniversary program honoring Rice’s novel. Admission is free.
