Learn! Explore the Everglades with Jordon “Kid Flamess” King

Drawing and coloring offer children a closer look at the Everglades and the relationships that sustain its ecosystem. Learn! Explore the Everglades with Jordon “Kid Flamess” King takes place Friday, November 20 at the Learn! Canopy in Children’s Alley, part of Miami Book Fair at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami. Participants examine a model of the Everglades and color a matching illustration to explore how the ecosystem’s different parts fit together. They then sketch and color an Everglades animal of their choice and draw a habitat for it, connecting creative expression with an introduction to environmental science. The activity is free.
