Icon Live: Rock the Holidays with Rubixx

Holiday songs and 1980s favorites set the soundtrack for the December edition of InterContinental Miami’s monthly ICON Live series. Held Thursday, December 17 on the hotel’s waterfront Picante Terrace, the free outdoor concert features South Florida band Rubixx performing a mix of New Wave, pop and Top 40 hits alongside seasonal selections. Rubixx specializes in 1980s music, with a repertoire that draws from artists such as Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, INXS, Depeche Mode, Blondie, Tears for Fears and The Go-Go’s. The band has appeared previously as part of ICON Live, returning for this holiday-themed edition. ICON Live takes place on the third Thursday of the month and features rotating local performers on the hotel’s open-air terrace overlooking Biscayne Bay. Admission is free with advance RSVP required, a cash bar is available and the event is open to all ages. Leashed dogs are welcome.
