Icon Live: Orlando Mendez

Country music takes over InterContinental Miami’s waterfront Picante Terrace during the January edition of the hotel’s monthly ICON Live series. Held Thursday, January 21 in partnership with 99.9 KISS Country, the free outdoor concert features Miami-born singer-songwriter Orlando Mendez. Known as “The Cuban Cowboy,” Mendez blends contemporary country with influences from his Cuban-American background and South Florida upbringing. He gained national attention on Season 22 of NBC’s The Voice, earning a four-chair turn before continuing to build his career through original music and live performances. ICON Live features rotating local artists on the hotel’s open-air terrace overlooking Biscayne Bay. Admission is free with advance RSVP required, a cash bar is available and the event is open to all ages. Leashed dogs are welcome.
