Families can turn natural plant materials into traditional corn husk dolls during a free drop-in art activity at Vizcaya Village. Presented Sunday, October 25, as part of the Halloween Harvest Market, the program introduces participants to the ways harvest crops have been used to create toys, decorative objects and cultural keepsakes across generations. Children and adults can make their own corn husk figures while learning about seasonal traditions connected to agriculture and the harvest. No previous experience is required, and participants are encouraged to personalize their creations. The activity takes place at Vizcaya Village, the estate’s historic farm village, and does not include admission to the Main House and gardens. Registration is required, and participation is available while supplies last. The program is designed for families with children, particularly ages 6 to 12.
