Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical!

A persistent pigeon sets its sights on the driver’s seat in a family musical filled with songs, comedy and feathered commotion. The production takes place Sunday, March 21, on the Main Stage at The Moss Center. When a crisis threatens to delay the Bus Driver and her passengers, the determined bird may finally get an unexpected chance to help. Based on Mo Willems’ picture book Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, the musical features a script by Willems and Mr. Warburton, lyrics by Willems and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma. The stage adaptation combines the book’s playful audience interaction with an expanded story and original songs. Commissioned by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the approximately 60-minute production premiered there during the 2019-2020 season. Video and audio recording are prohibited.
