Layered vocal harmonies, live strings and polished rock arrangements recreate the orchestral pop sound associated with Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra. The multimedia concert takes place Friday, February 12, on the Main Stage at The Moss Center, pairing a 12-piece band with song-specific video projections. Performed by Evil Woman, the tribute features violins, viola and cello alongside electric guitars, keyboards and rhythm section. The ensemble emphasizes the detailed harmonies and classical-rock textures that helped define ELO’s recordings. The program includes “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Telephone Line,” “Don’t Bring Me Down,” “Livin’ Thing,” “Evil Woman” and “Roll Over Beethoven.” Presented as an independent tribute, the production offers a live survey of ELO’s best-known songs rather than an appearance by Jeff Lynne or the original band.
