Taste of the Fields

Fresh strawberries from The Berry Farm become cakes, cookies, pastries and other original desserts in a tasting competition showcasing South Florida bakers and dessert makers. Held Sunday, January 24, Taste of the Fields is a signature event within the annual Strawberry Festival at the 40-acre farm in Miami’s Redland. Participating bakers create their entries using strawberries supplied by The Berry Farm, offering festivalgoers samples before they cast votes for the Voters’ Choice winner. Competitors vie for first, second and third place prizes while highlighting a range of approaches to the region’s strawberry season. Taste of the Fields is included with Strawberry Festival admission, along with the festival’s seasonal attractions, food, entertainment and farm activities.
