Hollywood encounters and the unpredictable work of finding one’s way provide material for a conversation with actor and author Gina Gershon. Surviving & Thriving With Grit, Glamour & Guts takes place Saturday, November 21 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami, as part of Miami Book Fair. Gershon discusses AlphaPussy: How I Survived the Valley and Learned to Love My Boobs, a collection of true stories tracing her experiences in the San Fernando Valley and Hollywood. Combining humor with reflections on resilience, the book recounts encounters with figures including Tom Cruise, Sharon Stone, Prince and Bob Dylan. Author Annabelle Gurwitch, whose books include The End of My Life Is Killing Me: The Unexpected Joys of a Cancer Slacker, moderates. Admission is free. The program takes place in Building 3, second floor, Room 3209.
