Sounds of the Season

Holiday music from around the world fills the New World Center for New World Symphony’s annual seasonal concert in Miami Beach. Sounds of the Season takes place Saturday, December 19, offering a festive program led by NWS Conducting Fellow Ziwei Ma. The concert is part of New World Symphony’s 2026-2027 season. Presented each year as a holiday tradition, the program brings together orchestral selections inspired by winter celebrations, cultural traditions and familiar seasonal sounds. The concert offers a family-friendly way to experience New World Symphony in a celebratory setting during the December holiday season. Ma is a New World Symphony Conducting Fellow and a 2026-28 Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship award recipient. Born and raised in Beijing, she studied at the Central Conservatory of Music before earning graduate degrees in orchestral conducting at The Hartt School.
