Hear how quantum networking is leaving the lab at the FIU Quantum Distinguished Speaker Series. The series brings researchers from across the field to FIU to share new ideas in quantum science. Ronald M. Reano is a professor of electrical and computer engineering at The Ohio State University. Reano also co-directs its Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering. Reano will explain how quantum networking is moving from laboratories to real-world infrastructure. He will share current Ohio projects, measurements of quantum key distribution (a way to share secret encryption keys using quantum signals) in deployed fiber and what comes next for the field. Attend in person at the Engineering Center or join live on Zoom from anywhere.
