Miami Gem and Mineral Show

Gems, minerals, fossils, crystals and handcrafted jewelry fill a two-day show presented by the Miami Mineralogical and Lapidary Guild. Taking place Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13 at 6723 SW 81st Street in Miami, the Miami Gem and Mineral Show brings together vendors, educational displays and hands-on activities for collectors, families and anyone interested in the Earth sciences. Visitors can browse rocks, lapidary materials, arts and crafts and other geological finds while exploring mineral exhibits throughout the show. Family activities include a gem-mining sluice and geode cutting, offering younger visitors an introduction to minerals and lapidary arts. Founded in 1949, the nonprofit Miami Mineralogical and Lapidary Guild promotes education and interest in mineralogy, geology, paleontology, lapidary arts and related Earth sciences. Admission is $10 for adults, while children under 12 are admitted free with a paid adult. Free parking is available.
