Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights

Live orchestral music, projection mapping and holiday characters transform Ocean Drive into a multimedia seasonal celebration during the annual Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights. Presented over two weekends, December 12, 13, 19 and 20, the family-friendly program pairs performances by a full symphony orchestra with animated projections across South Beach building façades and appearances by characters including Santa, the Grinch and Elsa. Presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival and produced by Artistic Director Michael Rossi, the performances use projection-mapping technology to synchronize light and imagery with the music. Holiday food and beverages and Ocean Drive’s 20-foot Christmas tree add to the surrounding festivities. A special Holiday Extravaganza on Saturday, December 12 combines the Festival of Lights with a City of Miami Beach drone show visible from Lummus Park. Performance times: • Saturday, December 12: 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. • Sunday, December 13: 6 and 7:30 p.m. • Saturday, December 19: 6 and 7:30 p.m. • Sunday, December 20: 6 and 7:30 p.m.
