Just Burn It: End of the Year Fire Ceremony

Reflection, journaling, meditation and a communal fire ritual shape Patch of Heaven Sanctuary’s annual end-of-year ceremony. Held Saturday, December 26, the fourth edition of Just Burn It invites participants to consider what they want to leave behind before entering the new year, using the sanctuary’s large fire pit as the focal point for the evening. The program includes quiet reflection, writing, mindful walking, drumming and meditation before participants take part in a symbolic burning ritual centered on release, transition and renewal. The event is part of Patch of Heaven’s Signature Series Nature Events, which combine outdoor experiences with contemplative practices. Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for sitting on the ground and walking around the sanctuary. Space is limited.
