GIS Day 2026

Join us for this GIS Day 2026! This year's theme, "GIS: Powering Purpose and Innovation," showcases how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) drives discovery, decision making and innovation across disciplines like environmental sciences, public health, urban planning, business, sustainability and much more. We are celebrating 80 years of the Department of Geography and Sustainable Development at the University of Miami this year! In those 80 years we have accomplished much and are working to continue that momentum. At GIS Day you can expect to participate not only in discussions but also networking, student exhibits, poster competitions and a reception. Full program is TBD, please come back for updates.
