A century after the 1926 hurricane, a curator-led exhibition tour examines a pivotal moment in Miami’s history. On Saturday, November 21, Museum of Miami resident historian Dr. Paul S. George leads a highlights tour of Caught in the Eye: Remembering the 1926 Hurricane, which he co-curated. A Miami native, author and professor emeritus of history at Miami Dade College, George brings decades of research and neighborhood storytelling to the approximately one-hour tour. The exhibition remains on view through April 11, 2027. The program takes place in the second-floor exhibition space of the museum’s South Building, with check-in beginning at 1 p.m. Parking is available at the Miami-Dade Cultural Center Garage, 50 NW Second Avenue, for a flat rate of $5 with validation during check-in.
