Ax and the Hatchetmen

Chicago-bred indie rock with jangly guitars and brass-driven arrangements comes to ZeyZey Miami’s Zaku Stage. Ax and the Hatchetmen perform Sunday, December 13 as part of The Late Checkout Tour 2026. The six-piece band, fronted by Axel Ellis, brings a road-tested sound shaped by nearly a decade of performing together. Formed by friends outside Chicago, Ax and the Hatchetmen have built a following with upbeat guitar lines, warm horn textures and melodic indie rock songs that lean into both polish and looseness. The tour continues the band’s growth from high school beginnings to a national run of shows for a steadily expanding fan base. ZeyZey Miami is an open-air cultural venue in Little River with a lineup spanning live music, DJs and community gatherings. Guests can also find food and drink on-site, including grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos from Tacos María.
