Romantic ballads and Latin pop set the tone for Valentine’s Day as Salvadoran singer-songwriter Álvaro Torres returns to the James L. Knight Center. Taking place Sunday, February 14, Eternamente Romántico follows a sold-out 2026 edition at the same venue and centers on the love songs and relationship narratives that have defined Torres’ career. Born in El Salvador, Torres has recorded since the 1970s, building a catalog that moves between pop and bolero and includes albums such as Si Estuvieras Conmigo, Nada Se Compara Contigo and El Último Romántico. His songwriting earned him BMI’s Composer of the Year recognition for Nada Se Compara Contigo in 1993, and he was inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015. The Valentine’s Day concert brings that romantic repertoire back to Miami for an evening built around songs of love, longing and heartbreak.
