ACCESS MEED, Wolfson Campus hosts a discussion with Chef Irving Alvarado. After losing his sight unexpectedly, Chef Irving Alvarado had to relearn how to work in a kitchen. He went back to Culinary School, learned how to navigate life as a blind individual and eventually, with the help of open-minded employers, and community resources, made his way back to the kitchen to continue his career. Join us for a discussion and culinary demonstration with Irving, his supervisor Chef Jose Miguel at the Andaz Hotel and his Orientation and Mobility Specialist Samly Melendez, as we discuss what it means to make truly accessible workplaces. In Person with limited capacity. Live Stream Option Available.
